May Day at our
school is a joyous celebration of song and dance, pretty flowers and
happy smiles, and decorative, colorful costumes. Each grade level
performs a dance and the 5th graders are selected to the royal court
featuring a King and Queen, royal attendants, and complete with conch
shell blowers and blessing kahuna. May Day at BPES is an affair that
is elaborately done with the help of the staff and community, who
decorate our outdoor stage, help to dress the royal court, and
provide the live music to add to the excitement. May Day is truly Lei
Day at Barbers Point Elementary!
