Hawaiian Subs A Hit With Students

Hawaiian Sub: That's what students learned to make in Cooking Club at Innovations Public Charter School - Sub Sandwiches with a Lilikoi Twist!

Guest chefs Lynn and Lloyd Nakagawa showed students how to assemble their own sub sandwich with the usual ingredients then added Lilikoi mustard and Lilikoi vinaigrette to give the sandwich a delicious Hawaiian flavor. Dessert followed with cheesecake topped with Passion Fruit Syrup.

Students at Innovations attend special interest groups each Wednesday. In addition to cooking, students are building rockets, working on community service projects, street dancing, solving mysteries, making iMovies, and doing origami.
