Q: Will my child be able to buy lunch at school?
A:
Yes, students who want, can buy lunch from the cafeteria. Lunch prices are $1 per lunch. Students will be eating at picnic tables outside on the Innovations campus rather than in the Kahakai cafeteria. Students may prefer to bring their own lunch to school.

Q: Will my child be allowed to ride the bus to school?
A:
Innovation students are allowed to ride the bus on a space available basis. If a route gets too full and there are not enough seats for Kahakai students, IPCS students' parents on the full bus may be notified they will need to provide their own transportation for their child. Every effort will be made to accomodate students on each of the bus routes.

Q: What time does school start?
A:
School starts at 7:45 and ends at 1:55 M, T, Th, F. Wednesdays, school is out at 12:55.
Students don't need to arrive on campus until 7:30 am.

Q: Do Innovations' students participate in Kahakai activities?
A:
No, not as a general rule. IPCS has its own performances, field trips, and special events. IPCS students participate in Kahakai safety drills for fire or earthquake.

Q: Do I need to buy school supplies for my child?
A:
No, parents are asked to send in $35 for supplies and IPCS purchases supplies for the children.

Q: How can parents help the IPCS staff with the school?
A:
Give us a call at 327-6205 or come by any day. We have a variety of jobs that parents can help with. We welcome parent involvement.
