By the end of grade 3 the student will be able to:
- Evaluate books and other material for information needs.
- Takes notes on notecards without copying and by skimming and scanning.
- Cites the author, title and copyright of a source.
- Recognizes importance of copyright laws.
Standard 3 &endash; The student who is information literate uses information accurately and creatively.
By the end of grade 3 the student will be able to:
- Use information gathered to create a simple research project.
- Understand the different forms of presentations and select one.
- Become familiar with an assessment rubric.
