Introduction
By participating in the WebQuest you'll be able to make informed choices as to how and when to use technology to support your Standards-based Curriculum.

While the world moves toward a web presence, with websites and dot coms popping up daily, we suddenly have a large amount of information directly at our fingertips.

As a teacher, you may be experiencing excitement, confusion, and indecision when you think about whether or not to use technology, such as the Internet, in your classroom. Many factors come into play as you consider this issue. Is your classroom wired? Do you have access to computers? Do you know how to use the Internet? Do you have time to use the Internet? What about student safety?

The list of questions goes on and on. With this WebQuest, you'll have an opportunity to work with other teachers to find answers to these questions and others. While participating in the WebQuest you'll also have an chance to work with some of the tools that you may choose to use with your students. Some parts of the WebQuest will be completed as a whole group, while other components will involve independent and small group work.

When you have completed this WebQuest, you will be able to make informed decisions as to how and when to use the Internet and other forms of technology to support your standards-based curriculum.

With that said, we're ready to begin by looking our the Essential Question that will guide our journey.
