Class ![]() The Kindergarten, 1st grade,
and 2nd grade classes learn the basics of Hawaiian culture.
They learn things like Hwaiian greetings, values, and
behaviors. They also learn the numbers, colors, family
and members in Hawaiian. They also learn more about
the land and ocean settings. If I were to use the analogy of the kukui lantern. The students of this level would learn about the basic necessities that are needed in making the kukui lantern. They know the things that are needed to put together a kukui lamp. But they still need to learn how to actually make it. Students are introduced to: -Basic Hawaiian language -Hawaiian values -Hawaiian alphabets -Hawaiian numbers -Hawaiian colors -Hawaiian names to parts of the body -The ohana system - family system -Hawaiian celebrations -Hawaiian stories -Elements of the mountain -Elements of the ocean Do you know the Hawaiian colors?
