VOLUNTEER NEEDED IN LIBRARY
Book mender & Book jacket cover makerLibrarian Holly Gates says, "If you are good with fine details, and working with your hands, I have the perfect volunteer job for you! Anyone who likes to do various kinds of crafts would find this very satisfying. I need someone to help me put covers on the book jackets. Book jackets help preserve the life of the book, which in turn saves money for the library. I could also use some help with the mending of books. Although I have one incredible volunteer to help me mend the books, there is a constant influx of books heading to the "book hospital." I will train you. There are approximately 100 books that need mending and book jacket covers, so I can use all the help I can get! These are great skills that you can use on your own library. Volunteering also looks great on the resume! Thank you so much!"
GROWING IN THE GARDEN A big thank you to Community Work Day for coming out last Saturday to work in our Garden and on our landscaping! And thank you to Americorps for volunteering last Wednesday as well! We appreciate all the support for our Garden!
