Komodo Dragon

Did you know that komodo dragons is not a dragon? It is true. Komodo dragons live in Indonesia Komodo Island. They live in very dry savannah areas.

The komodo dragon is ten feet long and weighs up to 300 pounds. They are on the scaly side . Komodo dragons have strong claws and saw-like teeth. The komodo dragon is a relative of the monitor lizard.

Do you know that komodo dragons are endangered species? One reason is because people use them to make hand bags, purses, and exotic meals. Sport hunters use them as trophies. People use their skin and feet to make novelties. Komodo dragons are also endangered because they are trapped for sale to zoos. Komodo dragons are also trapped and sold to private collectors. They also die of storms, fires, and diseases.
