Introduction
You are Jacques Cousteau who is about to go on another ocean adventure. While scuba diving and riding in your mini submarine you come across many strange and beautiful sea creatures living in the different depths of the ocean.
Task
Your task is to select an ocean animal and research the characteristics of your animal and the layer (zone) which it lives in. You will draw a picture of your animal and will place it on a class mural.
Process
1. You will go to a website (animals listed below on table) to research information about your specific animal. Click here to get the notetaking form.2. Each person will write a report on the animal they selected.
3. Group yourselves into teams by which ocean layer (zone) your animal lives in.
4. Team members will work together to create a mural of their ocean layer (zone) including their animals.
5. Teams will then present their findings to the class.
6. After teams present their findings, the class will put their layers (zones) together to form a class mural.

Conclusion
After you have completed this WebQuest you will have learned a lot about the different ocean zones and the animals that live in them. The class mural you have worked to create will spark an interest in the ocean and all its wonders!
