• Classroom help Eighth grade science teacher Ms. Davilla Riddle is looking for parental help during science lab classes. You can contact her directly at Davilla Riddle@notes.k12.hi.us
• BOOK FAIR Scholastic Book Fair will be held the second week in September and is currently looking for parental volunteers. Flexible shifts include: Monday 9/13 – Friday 9/17, 8 – 11:30AM, 11:30AM – 2:30PM. Open House 9/14 & 15, 5 - 8PM email or call Dana at 573-8753.
• 8th Grade Reward Day Help Volunteers would help set up the games, pick up the pizza from CostCo, serve lunch, or help teachers supervise students in the games. Starting at about 7:45, and ending with lunch (11:30 or noon) contact Mrs. Robin Brooks at 573-8735 or robin_brooks@notes.k12.hi.us
• ESCRIP COORDINATOR This volunteer position can be done at your home, some computer knowledge is helpful, but the program is very user friendly and there is always a human being to talk to if you have questions.
• FOL (Focus on Learning) If you would like to be a part of the nuts and bolts of Kalama here is a great opportunity to get involved. There are 8 Focus on Learning Teams, they meet once a month for approx. 45 minutes. If as a parent you are not available to physically attend the meetings, you could receive the minutes and make suggestions and comments. Kalama school will be going through our 3 year renewal process with WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and needs to show parent involvement in this area.
• School Safety Committee A parent is needed to be a part of this important group. First meeting scheduled for Sep 21, 8:30am. The committee meets 4X per school year for approximately 1 hour.
• WISHLIST NEEDED - Small microwave oven for Faculty Dining Room
