COMPREHENSIVE STUDENT SUPPORT SYSTEM (CSSS)
Experience tells us there are times when all students -- even the most resilient -- will need help. CSSS is a school-based delivery of supports and services that ensure student achievement.
The CSSS is a collaborative effort involving the Department of Education, the family, and the community that provides resources and assistance so each child will meet the educational standards for his/her grade-level. Family members and school officials make decisions that are meaningful to a child's welfare. The collaborative decision-making process ensures that student support services match the severity, complexity, and frequency of need, and can be delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
