In addition to the School Security Department the Parents on Campus program gives parents an opportunity to be on campus during recess and lunch breaks to help provide a sense of security for our students.
SCHOOL RULES
Classes are in session from 7:50 to 2:00 daily, except on Mondays and Wednesdays when school ends at 1:20. Students are required to be in school on time for their homeroom. Students may not leave the campus at any time during the school day without permission from the administration. All students are to remain in the cafeteria or quadrangle "Quad" yard area until released to homeroom. NO ONE is allowed to go to his/her locker until 7:40 a.m.
- OUT-OF-BOUNDS
1. Students are instructed that certain areas are designated as out-of-bounds. Students must stay clear of these areas or face disciplinary action. Examples of out-of-bounds areas: a) private property, fences, homes that adjoin the school, b) second floor of buildings during morning or lunch recess (unless supervised)
2. No loitering in restrooms and stairwells.
- CONTRABAND
School rules specify that the items listed below are contraband and their possession or use by students on school campus during school hours or school functions is prohibited. Student violation of this rule may result in any of the disciplinary actions listed.

- ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Section 302A-1134.5, Hawai'i Revised Statutes
(a) Any child who possesses, sells, or uses a dangerous weapon or switchblade knife, while attending school or while attending department-supervised activities held on or off school property, may be excluded from attending school for up to ninety-two days, as determined by the principal and approved by the superintendent or other individuals designated pursuant to rules adopted by the board.
(b) Any child who possesses, sells, consumes, or uses intoxicating liquor or illicit drugs, while attending school or while attending department -supervised activities held on or off school property, may be excluded from attending school for or while attending department-supervised activities held on or off school property, may be excluded from attending school for up to ninety-two school days, as determined by the principal and approved by the superintendent or other individuals designated pursuant to rules adopted by the board.
(c) Any child who reasonably appears to have consumed or used intoxicating liquor or illicit drugs prior to attending school or attending department-supervised activities held on or off school property, may be excluded from attending school for up to ninety-two days, as determined by the principal and approved by the superintendent or other individuals designated pursuant to rules adopted by the board.
(d) In any case of exclusion from school, the due process procedures as set forth in the provisions of hawai'i administrative rules relation to student discipline shall apply.
(e) If a child is excluded from attending school for more than ten days, the superintendent or superintendent's designee shall ensure that substitute educational activities or other appropriate assistance are provided, such as referral for appropriate intervention and treatment services, as determined by the principal in consultation with the appropriate school staff.
