On Thursday, February 8, 2001, our fourth grade class went on a field trip to the American Box Car Racing International Race Track in Pearl City, Hawaii. We wanted to learn more about the physics involved in box cars and box car racing. We decided to focus on the following physics principals: gravity, friction, bearings, lubrication, energy, speed, center of gravity and leverage.
