Kentrosaurus

The name of the dinosaur I am researching is Kentrosaurus. It lived during the Jurassic period. The Kentrosaurus is an interesting dinosaur. It looks like a stegasaurus. That is my favorite animal. I want to learn more about the Kentrosaurus. What I want to learn more about is how fast it is.

We know that dinosaurs existed because fossils were found. Fossils were made by mud,sand and water. My dinosaur existed because it looks like the Stegasaurus. The fossils of the Kentrosaurus was found in Tendaguru, Tanzania, and Africa. The Kentrosaurus was named by Ewin Hennig.

Kentrosaurus had plates on it's back. It has four toes.The Kentrosaurus is a slow dinosaur. It is 9 feet tall. Small plates from the head to the middle of the back and spikes from the middle of the back to the tail. The brain was the size of a walnut. It had bigger back legs than the front legs. The beak had no teeth. The Kentrosaurus has flat teeth in the back of the beak. It ate food close to the ground so it is a herbivore. It had a head close to the ground to eat the low lying plants.

Kentrosaurus has a good sense of smell so it can it's predators. The spikes protect it from vicious dinosaurs when it gets whacked or attacked.

Kentrosaurus was about 17 feet tall and 5 meeters long. It lived 150 million years ago. It had a small brain the size of a walnut. It had hoof like claws on it's toes. A big meteor hit the earth and made an earthquake so all the magma in the earth and the lava started to come up and kill all the dinosaurs in the path and dust blocked out the sun so the plants died so if they die the plant eaters die the meet eaters died because they don't have other dinosaurs to eat.
