This is an Pteradactyl. The name means, "wing finger." Its size is about the size of a turkey. It lived in North America. It ate fish.
An interesting fact is it looks like a bird, but it is like a half bird and half dinosaur. Another interesting fact is it has sharp teeth in its mouth and other birds don't. Another interesting fact is it has big wings and they are not like birds.

Pterodactylus was not a dinosaur. It was a Pterosaur. A Pterosaur means winged lizard. There were many different kinds of Pterodactlys. The small ones were no larger than a sparrow and some were the size of a hawk. In late Jurassic time Pterodactylus was about 6 feet long and weighed 100 pounds. It's wingspan was probably over 20 feet . Some of them had fur on their bodies and the wings were made of skin.
Pterodactylus was a carnivore. It ate fish, insects, crabs, and plankton. It lived by the lake shores. Pterodactylus could glide in the air to escape from danger.
Pterodactylus lived in the Jurassic period. Pterodactylus lived in Africa, Europe, North America, and Australia.

I know that there were many Pterodactyls that lived. They were dinosaurs that lived a long time ago in the Jurassic period.
Pterodactyls had short tails. They laid brownish eggs. Pterodactyls had wings like a bat because they had no feathers. They Pterodactyl's wing span is estimated about 36-39 feet. It is the largest flying creature known to have existed.
The Pterodactyls lived in tall trees where they built their nests and where the other dinosaurs couldn't get their eggs. They liked warm weather.
