When the Polynesians sailed to Hawaii they all brought different ideas about their new freedom. The Polynesians thought that religion was very important. Throughout the years they changed some rules and some were also added. There were three main different classes of people. There was the Ali'i, Maka'ainana, and Kaua. Everyone had different jobs to do. Other groups of people included the Kahuna, Kahu and Chief's Helpers
