Your Choice of Country: A 60 Point Assignment

Now that you have worked in a small group on this activity, you should be able to do this on your own.

You will have a Google Earth computer for 10 minutes. You can do the rest of this assignment on your own computer.

You will need to record what you learn. Type everything in your e-journal. Later, you'll copy it into an e-mail.

First, you choose a country.

On the Google Earth screen, find the country and spend 10 minutes exploring it. With Google Earth, you should learn and share the kinds of things you can see. Where is the country? Who are its neighbors? Is it near water? Does it have rivers, lakes, mountains....? (15 points)

On your machine, use the CIA World Factbook to learn and record at least 5 facts about the country. Use at least a few of this week's vocabulary words. (15 points)

One more task: Tell some things about what life might be like in that country. How is it the same or different from where we live? Would you like to live there? Why or why not? (15 points)

Share your learning by sending an e-mail to jamesk@epals.com and send the Cc: to all classmates. (15 points)
