The Angelus, by
Jean-François Millet, was painted in 1859, which makes the
painting 143 years old! Millet painted pictures of hard working
people. He painted very realistically, not using much fantasy and
bright colors. So, this painting comes in between the others because
of the duller colors, the more up to date clothing, and the realistic
lines.
