SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING: November 9, 2005
I. WELCOME: Chairperson Elizabeth Kalama welcomed everyone to the meeting.
a. Present: Nelson Shigeta, Susan Luna, Mariko Thompson, Elizabeth Kalama, Susan Endo, Michelle Chung, Jackie Beckman, Gigi Cocquio, Daisy Velasquez, Kristi Keomalu, Lynn Okamura.
II. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: Approved.
III. FINAL COPY OF BY-LAWS
a. Signatures by SCC members.
IV. DECISION-MAKING!
V. ACADEMIC/FINANCIAL PLAN
a. Community Meeting: Parent Input (Evaluation sheet attached) Consider for next meeting: samples of work that "meets standards"
b. Draft of A/F Plan: Presented by Nelson. Question: According to this new WSF, there will be extra money. Where is it going?
VI. UPCOMING TASKS
a. SCC Waiver/Exception Requests (due December 9th). Lynn is working on this and will see members for their required signatures. (UPDATE: Waiver request not due until December 2006!)
VII. NEXT MEETING: DECEMBER 14, 2005, 3:30 PM, Library.
a. Topics: Review final draft of A/F plan
b. Community meeting #2: Principal shares final draft of A/F plan:
December 14, 6:00 PM following SCC meeting at 3:30 PM.
