Welcome to our web site. At Princess Nahienaena Elementary School we are committed to promoting a sustainable society by involving our students in learning experiences and learning projects that build respect for the environment, themselves, and others. We want to convey the feeling that the survival of the state of Hawaii depends on the environmental education and awareness of our students' connection to the Earth.

This Wetlands Unit is comprised of three sections (Plant Life, Animal Life, and Land Formation) that will guide students collaboratively and individually to learn about the interdependence in the Hawaiian environment and its wetlands ecosystems by investigating the wetlands found on Maui at Kanaha Pond, Kahului.
