Assessment and Evaluation

Assignments will be assessed with the following rubric or assessment tool.

General Assessment for Assignments

Assignment

Excellent - The work product achieves all goals set for the task. It is complete and indicates a very good understanding of the content covered.

Satisfactory - The work product achieves many of the goals set for the task. It is almost complete and indicates an adequate understanding of the knowledge covered.

Unsatisfactory - The product does not meet the basic requirements of the task. It is partially complete and indicates a limited understanding of the knowledge covered.

Starter Activity

Form is completely filled with concrete details. There is no editing mistake.

Form is mostly done with adequate details. There are a few editing mistakes but with little interference with meaning.

Form is not followed with few details. Editing has several errors.

Fantasy Review

Paper is filled out accurately with enough content details. Directions are completely followed. Editing is thorough. For Part II, sentences are complete and paragraphs well developed.

Paper is done with adequate details for almost all items. Editing is adequate but a few errors may remain. For Part II, sentences and paragraphs are complete but could be expanded.

Paper is not done completely. Some topics were skipped. Editing is lacking and many errors are evident. For Part II, sentences are not complete and paragraphs are not developed.

Character Analysis

Characters are compared carefully with many details.

Characters are compared with adequate details.

Characters are compared but without details.

Critiquing Stories or Story & Film

Two stories are analyzed thoughtfully with many details in all areas. Editing is thorough.

Two stories are analyzed for each with some details. Editing is adequate with a few errors.

Two stories are not analyzed in every category.

Technology Project Vocabulary

The slide show or drawings done are complete with all aspects of the assignment taken into account (word, meaning, contextual sentence, and picture or illustration). All drawings are done with good organization of ideas and pictures. There are no errors in editing.

The project is done adequately. There are a few errors in editing.

The project is partially developed. There are many obvious mistakes or incomplete portions and lack of organization. There are numerous editing errors.

Technology Project 3-D

The diorama is carefully constructed and visually appealing. The background drawing and standing cutouts and figures convey important information about the book. Display card provides all required information.

Technology as a Tool for Productivity
