General Information (FAQ) and Momilani Library Catalog
Location: Momilani Library is located in the office or administration building at Momilani Elementary School
Hours: 7:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Librarian: Mrs. Kunimitsu
Objectives and role:
- The library promotes effective use of ideas and information for lifelong learning and informed decision-making
- The library supports the school's curriculum and students' pursuit of academic interests
- The library promotes literacy in all areas and a love of reading
- The library provides information access on a variety of subjects and in different formats
- The library utilizes technology to enhance learning with a hands-on appoach
- The library encourages collaboration on projects and responsible sharing of knowledge
Recess: The library is opened to students at first recess with a pass. The computers are available for general use but students with projects to do will be given preference.
A Good Library Citizen:
- Practices courtesy and responsibility
- Returns books on time (in one week)
- Takes care of books - turns pages carefully, protects books from getting wet, knows where books are left
- Grades 3-6 puts books back on the shelf in the correct place
- Enjoys books and borrows at least one item weekly
Rules to follow:
- Get ready quickly and focus
- Listen carefully and follow directions
- Keep hands, feet, objects to yourself
- Be safe
- Respect others and their property
