CREATING ANIMATION with HyperStudio 3.1:

1. Launch Hyper Studio 3.1
2. Create a background for your animation.
3. Add a button to the existing card.

  • The Button Appearance dialog Box will appear
  1. Select the Type of button: Bold, Regular or Invisible
  2. Give the button a Name
  3. Decide if you want an Icon, or if you want the Name on the button visible or not
  4. Click OK
  • The ACTIONS Window will pop up ...... Select Play an ANIMATION
  1. Select an object to animate from the existing card or from a data file
  1. Place object in Start Position.
  2. Hold Down on Mouse and Drag across screen
  3. Modify as necessary from the Animation WIndow

4. Click OK when done.

5. SAVE

6. To Post a Stack --- go to the INSERT menu and select ADD PLUG IN.

7. To Play a Stack on the Web--- Make sure that you download and install the appropriate Hyper Studio Plug-in for your browser!

8. Press Button to activate animation

SAVING A FILE
RETRIEVING A FILE

1. Go to FILE, SAVE AS and navigate to your data disk.

1. Insert data disk in computer.

2. Go to DESKTOP, locate and OPEN desired data disk.

2. Launch desired program.

3. Name file with a simple name and your initials (Make certain it makes sense). For Example... Hawaii... if your stack is about Hawaii.

3. Go to FILE and OPEN and navigate to your data disk.

4. Click SAVE!

4. Go to DESKTOP, locate and OPEN desired data disk.

5. Eject Data Disk

5. Locate and OPEN desired file.

POSTING to the Web.

Saving a Hyper Studio Stack for the Web:

  1. Launch Hyper Studio
  2. OPEN desired stack
  3. Go to FILE and select SAVE AS
    • Use a name that ends with the characters " .stk "
    • Make sure that it doesn't have any spaces in its name.
    • Go to the EXTRAS menu and select EXPORT WebPage
      • This will add an HTML script to the stack
  4. Click on SAVE

Posting a Hyper Studio Stack to the Web:

  1. Launch your HTML editor like Claris Home Page
  2. Insert stack by linking a text
    • Place cursor in desired location (where you want stack to go)
    • Click on Insert Image Button
    • Locate stack and click on insert
      • You will see an icon like this which will play in a browser like Netscape or Internet Explorer etc.
  3. Launch a Browser to See the Stack
