CREATING A SLIDE SHOW with Kid Pix:
Refer also to the tutorial = Making a Slide Show (Pages39 - 46 of Teacher's Guide of KidPix Studio Deluxe)

1. Launch Kid Pix

2. Plan your story or story board. (How many pictures will you need?)

3. Create all the necessary pictures and SAVE each with a name and number in the order in which they will appear. For example: (mypicture1 = mp1, mp2, mp3 etc)

4. Load Pictures into the Slide Show component of Kid Pix Studio. (See Moving Vans)

Pick a TRANSITION

4. Play the Slide Show using these buttons below

UNDO guy (oops man)

UNDO the last thing.

ERASE

ERASE or remove picture from van.

PLAY

PLAY the Slide Show once through.

PLAY IN A LOOP

PLAY the Slide Show in a LOOP.

5. SAVE the Slide Show as:

  • Slide Show ......This means you can only view it if you have the program
  • Quick Time ......This saves your show as a video movie which can then be posted onthe net
  • STANDALONE....This means you can view it, even if you do not have the program.

CREATING ANNIMATION with Kid Pix:
Refer also to the tutorial = Making an Animation in Slide Show (Pages47-55 of Teacher's Guide of KidPix Studio Deluxe)

1. Launch Kid Pix

2. Create a background for your animation and Save it.

3. Add animated item to background using stamps etc.

4. SAVE picture with a name and number in the order in which they will appear. For example: MA1, MA2, MA3 etc

5. OPEN original background picture and add animated item, MOVING it slightly (to show movement).

6. SAVE this picture and REPEAT the process until you are done.

7. Load Pictures into the Slide Show component of Kid Pix Studio. (See Moving Vans)

8. To ANIMATE... move the TIMER BAR below each picture to the left to zero seconds.
Note: Adding sound and/transition will slow the animation down considerably.

9. PLAY Animation

10. SAVE Animation Slide Show
