Today's world requires the informed person to be
literate in more than the traditional media. Ink on paper is still an
extremely powerful means of communication but is not all things to
all people. In Multimedia and Design (My preferred name for the
course) we will be exploring ways that the modern digital citiizen
can both consume as well as create content for the information age.
We will be studying the use of sound, graphics, animation as well as
virtual "spaces" to augment the use of more traditional media.
Expectations:
Students will be expected to complete homework assignments, complete assigned projects, to take all required tests and quizes, and to participate in online "class meetings". You will also need to effectively manage the time required to complete assignments.
