Enrollment Information
Be a part of something new! Our program offers tutorials, writing and science labs, enrichment classes, mentoring programs, and community outreach. Our staff consists of well-trained tutors and instructors who have a passion for learning and believe that all children can succeed. We are funded by the federal 21st Century grant, and to ensure our continued funding, KCLC is required to properly register each participant and record his or her attendance in any of our services.

About Signing Up:
* Are you in A+? Great! Our learning center helps A+ leaders and coordinators by providing additional activities and support during A+ program hours. KCLC does not operate beyond A+ hours. A+ students still complete a registration form, but they must sign in and sign out with the A+ leader before attending a KCLC activity.
* While enrollment is open to all students in grades 2 thru 6, there is priority enrollment in the tutorials for students referred by their teachers.
* The KCLC maximum child to teacher ratio is 20:1.There may be maximum limits set by each Enrichment Instructor, which are lower than our maximum.

General Policies:
1. Students report to the Site Coordinator immediately after school to check in, enjoy snacks, complete homework, and socialize. The tutorial center and activities begin at 3pm. The long period after school on Wednesdays will be reserved for assemblies, guest speakers, and special programs.
2. If a student is absent from the program but present in school, the Site Coordinator will contact the parent/guardian. Students may not leave before 5 pm unless authorized by parent/guardian.
3. Transportation to and from KCLC locations is not provided, and accommodations must be made by the parent or guardian.
4. If a child is having problems in the program, a conference will be arranged between the parent, staff, and Site Coordinator. Enrollment can be terminated if the problem threatens the safety and well-being of others.
5. The KCLC reserves the right to terminate KCLC services if it is determined that placement is unsatisfactory.
