Today you'll continue with your gathering and evaluating of information (using your telling questions as your guide). Lets meet at the Scenic Attractions page and then we'll go to the Curriculum section. There you'll find a wealth of information on Multiple Intelligences, Habits of Mind, Critical Thinking, Learning, Brain Development, and curriculum issues.
This is one of our favorite stops. There are so many attractions to choose from and so little time to see everything that we thought it might be fun to send everyone in a different direction and then come together on Friday to share where we each went and what we discovered.
Each team member will be given one site to visit and respond to. Be sure to record important information about your site, such as the address (URL), and what you discovered, on the Resource list that you are keeping. Thursday afternoon we'll take this information and use ClarisWorks to create a slide presentation, spotlighting the highlights of your visit. Since team members are all visiting individual sites, we'll gather on Friday to give everybody an opportunity to share their slide shows with the whole group. At that time you'll be asked to elaborate on how your specific visit will impact you as a teacher.
