The Hebrew Christian Wedding of

Les and Susie Chun- December 27. 1998

The "brides" at Susie's shower and getting ready at the hotel..Jennie on face, Malia on feet

The "finished product" , ready to go to New Hope church.

Right before the wedding Susie gets some last minute loving from her daughters and friends Laura and Chris

The ceremony began with Marilyn and Sheila lighting the candles with the Jewish blessing

Laura and Obed sang the prelude songs and then Les (aka Don Ho) explained the significance of the processional song, a verse the Lord had given us during courtship.

Becky Chun and Maggie Fields during the processional "Go Out with Joy and Be Led forth in Peace" (Isaiah 55:12-13)

Malia Fields passes by dear friends and then Obed walks a beaming Susie down the aisle to meet Les. The church was decorated with orchids, stephanotis and cypress.

Pastor Alex conducts the ceremony under the chupah with best man Eric Chun looking on.

The Fields and the Chun young adults hold back tears as they watch their mom and dad be married.....don't worry..they are tears of joy.

We exchange vows and rings

Les successfully breaks the glass and we share a moment of laughter as the guests shout, "Mazel Tov".

"Presenting for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Chun

And it was picture taking time. Below are some pictures of us and our new family

The Chun family including Les' mom and sister's family

And then it was time to leave the church for our reception

Our friends Robin and Karen appropriately decorated their car for us. They did the whole honking to the hotel bit. We were embarrassed but laughed a lot. At the reception we ate and toasted, and cut the cake and threw the bouquet and garter, were blessed by songs and hula by our friends, had our first dance and then did some serious booging. Of course there was Jewish dancing too.

At the end of the reception...we call this our "pleased as punch" picture..and that we were. We hope you enjoyed this pictorial review.

We praise our Lord Yshua (Jesus) for His absolute faithfulness in our lives!
