Collaborative Strategies For The
One Computer Classroom
Purpose:
- To get teachers to utilize one computer for
collaborative group projects.
Goals:
- To learn how to use Sim City as a vehicle to have
the students work on collaborative group projects.
Objectives:
- Work in collaborative groups using one
computer.
- Learn Strategies to manage collaborative
classroom projects.
- 100% of the particippants will experience Sim
City.
- Understand how Sim City can work as a tool for
collaboration in a one computer classroom.
Level:
- Basic computer knowledge for classroom
applications and have at least one computer in the
classroom.
Suggested Time Needed:
- One session for one hour.
Materials:
- One computer for every 4 participants
- T.V. monitor and computer hook up
- Sim City program
- Handouts
