Care for the Students A Transition Assistance Center
Our Mission: Radford High School's 'Malama I Na Haunama Program' is a transition and orientation experience addressing the needs of mobile students. The curriculum is designed to provide preparation and support for all transitioning students to promote academic achievement and a successful adjustment into the Radford community.
Our Vision: 'Malama I Na Haunama' is committed to providing a caring, challenging, culturally enriched environment that develops responsible, independent, lifelong learners. We will empower students and staff to collaborate in the self-directed process of learning.
Our Guiding Principles:
Encourage community and cultural interest with six independent units of instruction. Promote peer and social interaction through Youth Sponsorship and Lunch Bunch. Offer Interactive Counseling Center (ICC) to provide real time communication and face-to-face interaction. Support parent involvement through Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO). Provide training for Youth Facilitators and academic assistance with a Part-Time Teacher (PTT) Program.
