 Reflective Journals

Participants will be asked to make monthly entries into a reflective journal which will be comprised of tracking five components over the course of the year:

Contact Time

Participants will log and describe time spent watching the broadcast, hands-on learning sessions, group project work, reflection time, Internet research and electronic communication.

Application Time

Participants will log and describe time spent applying what they're learning from T3 in the classroom setting.

Portfolio Development

Participants spend 20 hours per module developing a Learning Results Portfolio which will become a part of their personal T3 website. Participants will follow outlined guidelines and criteria for choosing doocuments to place in this portfolio. Participants will use this portion of the reflective journal to briefly describe documents that they have placed in their portfolio.

Portfolios are assessed at the end of each module of T3 to measure the extent to which skills learned in T3 are applied and implemented in the classroom.

Implementation Plan

Each month, participants will identify personal goals for professional growth and development and will create a plan for how to reach these goals. Throughout the month participants will use their reflective journal to record and assess their work on reaching these goals.

Reflection on a given question to be posted by Instructor or T3 coordinator

Participants are required to spend a minimum of 480 hours in the various components of the T3 program to fulfill credit requirements. This breaks down to roughly 160 hours per module. Of those 160 hours, only 20 hours may be counted toward Portfolio Development. The rest of the hours must be reflected between Contact Time and Application Time.
